
Melissa is a nutritionist, graduate of McGill University and member of the Order of Dietitians- Nutritionists of Quebec (ODNQ).
Melissa also earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from McGill University. Her background in psychology combined with her expertise in nutrition have allowed her to better understand the needs of her clients, to whom she offers personalized action plans aimed at modifying eating behaviors in a progressive and lasting manner for successful results.
Melissa joined the team of nutritionists at the Montreal Heart Institute, where she practiced in the outpatient heart failure and diabetes clinic.
She worked at Clinique Prosanté as well as at Clinique Médicale Les Jardins Dorval where she offered nutritional assessments and recommendations in the areas of weight management, diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, cardiovascular diseases, anemia and digestive disorders. Melissa recently worked as part of a multidisciplinary team in the development of a telehealth application aimed at detecting the warning symptoms of neurocognitive disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease.
Melissa contributed to the development of the nutritional recommendations for this application, emphasizing the benefits of diet for strengthening brain health and maintaining a better quality of life and successful aging.
