François Hains is the director of Centre ProSanté West Island, a Medical and Rehabilitation clinic located in Dollard-des-Ormeaux. Dr. Hains has more than 20 years of chiropractic practice experience. His expertise lies in the diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal disorders affecting the spine and extremities. He also strongly believes in the benefit of interdisciplinary cooperation and has brought together an excellent team of health care professional to manage effectively the most challenging acute and chronic pain disorders.

Dr. Hains graduated as a chiropractor from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1990. He subsequently completed a two-year graduate residency program in Clinical Sciences and was granted, in 1993, the status of fellow of the College of Chiropractic Sciences (Canada).

In 2003, Dr. Hains obtained a Master’s Degree in Community Health from the University of Montréal where he studied the reliability of the clinical examination and diagnosis of chronic neck pain sufferers. In 2011, he completed a Micro program in Insurance Medicine and Medico-legal Evaluation offered by the faculty of medicine of the University of Montréal. Dr. Hains research interest lies in the diagnosis and management of chronic musculoskeletal disorders and associated disability.

Dr. Hains is the current president of the College of Chiropractic Sciences (Canada). This organization ‘s mission is to promote, advance and maintain expertise in chiropractic management of neuromusculoskeletal disorders, and to qualify and certify clinical specialists in chiropractic.

He is also member of the Société des experts en évaluation médico-légale du Québec. He is a medico-legal consultant and has been called as expert witness in court on maters related to chiropractic practice. He has also been nominated as an independent chiropractic evaluator for the RCMP.
